Dr Dora Whittuck
Name: Dr Dora Whittuck
Profession: HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist
HCPC Registration Number: PYL25181
Dora is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience, specialising in autism since 2004. She has led autism diagnostic services in two London boroughs and taught at leading London universities, including on Autism and Gender. Alongside her work with Autistic Girls, Dora provides therapy, supervision, and training, and enjoys helping both individuals and professionals develop a deeper understanding of neurodivergence.
She has particular experience working with children and adults who have felt misunderstood, overlooked, or let down by mainstream NHS services, especially those who don’t fit neatly into traditional diagnostic boxes. Dora takes a thoughtful, individual approach, recognising that everyone’s experience is unique and deserves to be understood in its full context.
Dora also works as an expert witness for the courts and carries out specialist assessments of autism, learning disability, and mental capacity. She offers comprehensive autism and ADHD assessments and, where helpful, uses recognised tools such as the ADI-R, ADOS-2, ACE, and Conners as part of a careful and personalised process.
Dora is committed to neurodiversity-affirming practice and aims to create a calm, respectful, and supportive space. She understands that seeking an assessment can feel like a big step, and works collaboratively with each person to help them feel at ease, understood, and empowered in learning more about themselves
