Harriet Richardson HCPC registered speech and language therapist

Harriet Richardson

Name: Harriet/Hat Richardson

Profession: HCPC registered Speech & Language Therapist

HCPC Registration number: SL36229

Hat completes autism and ADHD assessments for adults and children at a couple of different companies, in addition to Autistic Girls. She does some private work for clients in West Yorkshire and remotely, and assessments for schools in the Leicester area. She also provides pre/post-identification support for adults, teenagers and families who are questioning their neurotype or have self/clinically diagnosed.

On top of that, she's an author, public speaker, podcaster and content creator. As you can tell she's very busy (she blames the ADHD for that one!).

Since qualifying as an SLT, she has worked with neurodivergent young people and those who have experienced developmental trauma. She's always been very passionate about getting the voice of the clients she's working with and respecting their viewpoints on their strengths and needs.

As an autistic woman herself, she has engaged with many people within the autistic community and is always learning and growing from the interactions she has in these circles. She always tries to extend her knowledge of autism outside of her own experiences and those who are more like her and ensures she listens to and interacts with more marginalised voices within the community.
