Amy has 16 years of experience working in health and social care settings, including areas such as learning disabilities, homelessness, substance use, mental health, and neurodevelopmental assessment and post-diagnostic support. Over the past four years, they have focused on autism assessment and exploring the intersections between cognition, mental health, and autism.

As a multiply neurodivergent person (Autistic, ADHD, and Dyslexic), Amy stays actively connected to neurodivergent communities, research, and literature. Their key areas of interest are neurodiversity affirming practice, autistic mental health, and autistic community and joy. They are deeply committed to exploring people’s experiences with intersectionality in mind.

Amy is passionate about creating accessible, inclusive, and collaborative therapeutic assessment spaces where people feel genuinely seen and heard. They are dedicated to making the assessment process as meaningful and supportive as possible and are eager to explore a wide range of adjustments to meet each person's individual needs.

Alongside their assessment work, Amy provides post diagnostic support for individuals who are exploring their neurodivergent identities, helping them build self-compassion and develop self-advocacy skills, drawing on both professional expertise and lived experience. They also work as a Co-Production and Engagement Specialist for a disability charity and regularly facilitate training, reflective spaces, and supervision for professionals — creating opportunities to think critically about how values show up in practice, with a strong focus on neurodiversity-affirming and anti-oppressive approaches.
